In the current times, as the different ways of reaching out to consumers have been impacted by COVID-19, our project is also adapting its planning.
On top of organizing more activities online, the STEP project will extend its duration to compensate for the lock down period that several nations had to undergo. As a result, we will be offering advice on energy efficiency for 6 more months than initially scheduled.
STEP will now be running until the end of May 2022 instead of November 2021. We embrace the good news as this will offer us the opportunity to be close to consumers facing energy poverty for an extra winter.
In other news, the STEP policy work package leader, ALCO, the Lithuanian consumer organization, will be publishing a second paper on policy recommendations. These will reflect the European Green Deal and the implications of COVID-19 for the energy sector and vulnerable consumers. This paper will be published early November 2020 so keep an eye on our results page.
